What We Do

Rucker Muth takes a proactive approach in the initial stages of every project. Clients often engage us even before assembling a design team. We assist in the selection of various design consultants, including architects, interior designers, civil engineers, structural engineers, landscape architects, and mechanical consultants. This collaboration is aimed at creating a synergistic team that works cohesively to fulfill the owner’s vision and ensure a seamless and enjoyable process. Alternatively, we seamlessly integrate into projects where the design team has already been chosen, swiftly becoming an integral team member.

Pre-Construction Phase

Before the construction begins, Rucker Muth works closely with the design team to develop a comprehensive job cost breakdown. During this phase, we offer value engineering suggestions and provide design-related comments where applicable. Additionally, we collaborate with the architect on essential tasks such as HVAC and Title 24 coordination, civil engineering, electrical load calculations, plumbing isometrics, truss design, utility coordination, and other requirements necessary for obtaining a building permit.

Construction Phase

Once construction commences, Rucker Muth assigns a dedicated superintendent to oversee and coordinate on-site operations. We work exclusively with licensed subcontractors who provide a one million-dollar insurance policy and submit lien releases for both materials and labor. To ensure a smooth workflow, we develop a detailed schedule using Microsoft Project for effective coordination among various trades. Additionally, we prepare shop drawings and samples for necessary approvals. Our use of an industry-specific job cost accounting and project management system ensures transparency and efficiency. Monthly progress draws with full backup documentation is presented to the client for payment. Rigorous quality control is maintained through daily documentation and regular site meetings. We prioritize safety, ensuring that job sites are organized and secure.

Post-Construction Phase

At Rucker Muth, we value the enduring relationships we cultivate with our clients. We believe in providing exceptional customer service immediately after construction and warranty items have been addressed. This commitment extends into the ongoing maintenance and enhancement of our clients’ homes. Our strong relationships with subcontractors allow for prompt responses to any maintenance requests or additional work needed. We provide our clients with a comprehensive homeowner’s manual and facilitate training on the systems within their homes. This post-construction support reflects our dedication to client satisfaction and the longevity of our projects.
